worth waiting for

Good morning, friends. I’m sorry that my pie-announcement post is coming so late into this week, but I think that you’ll agree with me when I tell you that it’s totally worth the wait. At first, when I tell you that there are peaches in this week’s Grumpy Little Pies, you’re going to think, “oh, ho hum, Rose is doing peaches again, kill me before the boredom does.” But that’s not the attitude to take! Because, yes, I love peaches and there are a lot of them in my grocery store, and I’ll be making pie with them until they go away, but there was something special, and wonderful at the store this morning (yes, I am behind this week, let’s not talk about it). What’s so special that it’ll make you forget you’re totally tired of peaches?


I was going to write you a whole little paragraph right here, waxing rhapsodic about the versatility of peaches, but it seemed a little forced. You know about peaches and how awesome they are, though, don’t you? Yes, you do, and you know that peaches + blackberries = summer lovin’ at its fruity best. They’re going to be so good, and different from what I’ve been making for the last few weeks. You’re going to want to get in on this action, I promise.
