Aaaaaand we’re back!

Hi there!

I’m sad to report that I have nothing of any interest to say today. Luckily, this is the internet, so that’s pretty much standard operating procedure, right?

I think I’m going to make Peach Pie this week. It’s probably going to be a full-size pie, because I need to play around with streamlining the little pie production process, which is laborious. I need to do some serious googling, I think, but I don’t know that I’ll get to it this week. I really need to get back to my knitting/bourbon drinking group, and also I haven’t been to meditate in, oh, forever. So, big pie it is for you!

In other news, did you know that meringues are amazing? It’s a fact! I always thought the Trader Joe’s ones were kind of meh, and they are. Since it’s ice cream season again (even if it’s not yet 60 degrees outside), and I am firmly in the “custard is best” camp of ice cream making, I decided to put all those wasted egg whites to good use. And then to eat most of 2 dozen home made meringues. I have no regrets.

(ps – I owe you some pictures of pie, don’t I? I’ll be shooting for that tomorrow. Wish me luck!)
